Seven day rentals can start on either Thursday or Sunday

"Sampler Rentals" are available for a few hours, to see if houseboating is for you. The minimum "sampler rental" is $350 plus tax for 2.5 hours (fuel included). Sampler rentals depend on availability.

Boarding time is between 3:00pm and 5:00pm. Check in and operator training will take approximately 2 hours. If you arrive at the dock after 5:00pm, you will be required to stay at the at the dock overnight and leave the dock in the morning.

Different arrangements can be made if openings exist. Daily rentals are subject to availability, call to discuss.

Boats are returned from 9:00am to 11:00am. Failure to bring the boat in on time will result in additional charges. We need to have time to prepare the boat for the next renters.

Rates do not include fuel, tax or deposits. Policies and rates are subject to change without notice.

Reservation and Payment Policies

Individual renting the houseboat MUST be 21 or older and have a valid Drivers license and Credit Card.
Booking Procedures:
Visit our seasonal rates and reservations.
Call our rental office 828-478-1113 for reservations, confirmations and questions.
Reservation and Payment Policy:
At time of reservation, ½ of the rental rate is due. We welcome cash, credit cards, money orders or certified checks. Balance of the rental fee is due upon boarding the boat. Before boarding, we will also require a $1000 security/damage deposit to be placed against a valid credit card. This security/damage deposit may be applied to damage to the boat, missing or damaged equipment, late fees, excessive housekeeping fee, etc. Per the rental contract, the renter agrees to pay any amount due over and above the security/damage deposit if damages or fees exceed the $1000. Should there be no charges or fees, the credit card charge will be credited upon return of the houseboat in same condition as it left.
Cancellation Policy:
Should the renter decide to cancel their reservation more than 45 days prior to the rental period; their full deposit (less $150 remarketing fee) will be returned or credited. If the renter decides to cancel their reservation less than 45 days from the rental period, the entire deposit is NON- REFUNDABLE.
Lake Norman Houseboat Rentals reserves the right to cancel any reservation at any time. Should your reservation be cancelled by the company, you will receive a full refund of your deposit. |
